The Hurricane Telescopic was made to offer great protection against the hot summer sun or shelter from that annoying summer shower. With a sleek and attractive design, this parasol creates an imposing and exclusive atmosphere along with a comfortable and secure area for you and your guests.

The Hurricane will provide a nice and comfortable experience for people who have to stay outside for a long time. This is especially important for senior citizens whose skin is more sensitive than others. By using this parasol, you will be able to enjoy your time outdoor regardless of the weather.

OPERATION:

MATERIALS USED:

The frame and ribs - strong and suitable for all seasons, were made using high quality aluminium while the hub and runner with marine grade nylon PA66, making sure no rust will ever cause problems.

The canopy – 2 types of materials available, Recasens and Spuncrylic both having a high UPF, wind and fade resistant. Visit the 'Canopy Materials' tab for more details. If you're undecided about what colour should your parasol be, our guide for canopy colours has some interesting tips in it.

The pole – what’s new in addition to this parasol is the telescopic mechanism of the aluminium pole, which makes the height of the parasol adjustable, allowing the canopy to be closed without interfering with the furniture underneath.

No need to disassemble the entire structure, the ribs and the canopy can be replaced individually with ease.

SHAPES AND SIZES:

The Hurricane Telescopic comes with a standard 4m Square shape of the open canopy. If you are interested by other sizes or different shapes, we've created a parasol size guide with an index for all our models.

CANOPY MATERIALS

Choosing A Parasol Cover Material or a Canopy, Shade Specialists offer parasol covers in three types of high quality and durable materials, Spuncrylic®, Polyester and Recasens.These three fabrics for canopy covers have been chosen by us because they are extremely robust and resilient to the many changing weather conditions found here in the UK.

Spuncrylic® Parasol Cover Material

Spuncrylic® is a polyester which has been through a process called solution dying.
Solution dying is a technique used to add colour to a synthetic fibre.
Solution dying ensures colour is all through each thread before its woven, guaranteeing a higher quality and more vibrant colour.
Solution dying gives polyester a high-level resistance to fading from direct sunlight.
Spuncrylic® possesses excellent stain resistance and is water repellent.
Spuncrylic® offers an affordable canopy option which provides resistance to all weather conditions.
Spuncrylic® delivers a *UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) of at least 50.

*UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor), Indicates the fraction of the sun’s ultraviolet rays that penetrate fabric. Example, Material with a UPF of 50, allows just 1/50th of the sun’s UV radiation to reach your skin. The higher the UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor), the greater the protection offered.

Polyester Canopy Cover Material

Polyester strong fibre, highly resistant to creasing and keeps its shape perfectly.
Solution dying gives polyester a high-level resistance to fading from direct sunlight.
Unlike Spuncrylic, Polyester is piece dyed, piece dyed means the thread is only coloured on the outside of the canopy, like a radish!
Spuncrylic® possesses good stain resistance and is water repellent.
Spuncrylic® provides a *UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) of at least 50.
Offers an affordable alternative to Spuncrylic due to the colour fastness of darker materials
Shade Specialists only offer polyester covers in two natural colours. Beige and Natural.

Recasens RECacril® Parasol Cover Material

Recasens RECacril® is a high-performance acrylic fabric of the very highest quality.
Guarantees the best water resistance and protection from the sun.
Recasens is used extensively in the boating and marine industries for its strength and durability.
Recasens canvases offer an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) of up to +80 according to international standard UV 801.
With low reactivity and high stability Recasens offers long lasting protection against mold, plus provides excellent water and oil repellence.
Recasens canvases offer effective sunscreen as they filter a high percentage of ultraviolet radiation.
